I live in Las Vegas now; I'm teaching high school special education. I like it. I just wanted to share a poem.
Child-like
I count stars
�fifteen million and six�
and blow on dandelions
�no concern for weed killer�
and find shapes in clouds.
That one there looks like a triceratops.
All these things,
but I don�t remember being a child
�safe, held.
I only recall a self-sufficiency�
born of pain,
fed with fire,
and leaving me lonely�
leading me here
